Blog Hop for by DieZyne dies...

Welcome friends to the premier of By DIEzyne Dies presented by C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps and Designer Rhea Weigand, Passionate Paper Creations, llc.

We have an exciting weekend planned starting right here, right now!

The party is going all weekend!!!!
There are going to be contest, games, random drawings and whatever else we think of :)
We have tons of prizes to give away!!!!!!!

I chose to work with the Half Ovals and Pierced Ovals dies.  I honestly cannot believe how EASY they are to work with!  And I love the narrow shape of the dies.  You can perfectly cut around the outer edges of your stamped character images without being left with a ton of blank space around the image.  They frame this brand new Saturated Canary rubber stamp, 'Jeans and a Tee', perfectly!!!  By the way, this is a special sneak peek of 'Jeans and a Tee'.  She is being released tomorrow, November 1st, as part of the new LDRS rubber stamp collection.  You'll be able to find her right HERE tomorrow at noon!

I bet you didn't know this was an easel card do you?  Gotcha!!!  These dies made this card design super duper easy to make!  And can you see those gorgeous piercings that look like stitches?  I even used the smaller die in the Pierced Ovals set to cut out and matte the gorgeous sentiment from LDRS.  The Vintage Affections 'Love' sentiment set is also being released tomorrow and you can find it HERE tomorrow at noon!

By DIEzyne Dies were created for the Color Artist.  As Color Artist we love to color most of all.  Making them into cards can be challenging.  With By DIEzyne it makes this part of designing easier!
There are:
Card Making Dies
Dies that help complete layouts
Mixing and Matching is easy
All dies have pierce or stitch marks!
The focal point of the dies are large enough to accommodate our Colored Images!
You can easily create "Clean and Simple" Designs or "Fussy and Detailed" with lots of your favorite embellishments and ribbons.
What's a blog hop with out prizes right!  Well, we have them!!!  So make sure to leave comments along the way.  Your final stop will be at C.C. Designs Blog with Christine (last on the list)  and make sure to leave some love there too!  We will pick 2 lucky winners!!!!!

A Christening...

Happy Friday Everyone!

I'm back today with a sweet card for a baptism.  I don't often make special occasion cards like this because most of my friends have been married for years and don't have babies anymore.  But I sure enjoyed making this one.

I was asked to make a card for a friend's grandson's christening.  The first stamp I thought to use was 'Butterfly Baby'.  I really love this image.  It can be for either a boy or a girl;  it can be a butterfly or an angel;  it can be for a baby shower, birthday, christening or just because!  It's so versatile and I love that!  And guess what!  For a short time, 'Butterfly Baby' is specially priced at only $7.99 at the LDRS store!!!

First, I grabbed some of my favorite Maja papers in neutrals with a little bit of blue.  Then I painted the image very softly with TH distress inks.

I layered and layered the papers inside and out.  I added tags, flowers and lace til I couldn't fit anymore on the front.  I grabbed my favorite Lovely View die and added a little texture behind the image.  Then I dug through my bins and drawers and found the metal heart charm and little white frame.  The charm had a loop on the top that I didn't like so I broke it off using some jewelry pliers.

I searched the internet for the perfect poem for the inside of the card.

Here's a close up of the card.  I am so very pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Grocery Bag? Or Gift Bag???...

Hello Everyone!!!

I'm back today to share with you a little project that I made to house a birthday gift for my girlie friend, Claudia.  Now, let me just start by saying that I don't get the opportunity to make projects for family and friends very often, so when I do get the chance I want it to be extra special.  To top it off, when it's for Claudia, I get really nervous because she is so freaking talented and I know my work will not compare to hers.  But I did my best.  So here it is.....

I had purchased some items for Claudia for her birthday and did not want to put them into a boring old store bought bag.  So I put my thinking cap on.....How many of you have a TON of those brown paper grocery bags???  Well, I do too!  So I grabbed one and started imagining what I could do.

After cutting the bag here and there, slapping on some designer papers, coloring up the ever so gorgeous Saturated Canary 'Casey', and organizing some flowers, die cuts and embellies...this is the finished project.

The beautiful framing around the image was cut using the LDRS Darling Squares die set.  I wove some lovely purple ribbon through some of the cutouts and it's stunning!!!!!

I also stamped a banner sentiment using the Vintage Affections 'Friends' sentiment set.

Thank you so very much for stopping by!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everybody!!!

Today I have a card made with my favorite image from the Saturated Canary - Beautiful Gorgeous collection...(pssst!  I tell them all they're my favorite...hehehe)...

This gorgeous girl is 'Casey'.  Don't you just LOVE her eyes???  There is just something so relaxed, yet playful and sultry about her.  And I wish I had her hair!  ;-)

I paired her with a lovely sentiment from the Vintage Affections 'For All You Do' set.  It's such a beautiful font and the single word is just so perfect along side her.

The dainty flourishes were cut using the Darling Squares die set.  This set is so awesome!  It's a complete set of coordinating dies that can be used together to make an outstanding project OR you can pick and choose and use them individually as I did on this card.

I colored the image very simply with Copics, but I messed up her hair a bit.  So I added the white trails of dots to camouflage the error and it saved the day!  I love it even more with the dots!

That is all from me today.  Thank you so much for joining me!!!  I hope you enjoyed my project :-)

A Friend is a gift...

Hello Everyone!

I've got a short post for you today.  I had a lot of fun working with the NEW Saturated Canary 'Piper' rubber stamp from the Beautiful Gorgeous collection.  She is watercolored very simply with DI's and couldn't be more adorable!!!  Her hair was especially fun to color :-)  I paired her with a sentiment from the NEW Vintage Affections 'Friends' sentiment set.  I really love this set of sentiments!  They can be used year round and have such an elegance about them.

All of the new LDRS rubber stamps are backed with cling foam and individually contour cut for ease of use when crafting.  All you have to do is remove them from the packaging, plop them onto a block and stamp away!

Almost forgot!  I also tucked a 'Lovely View' die cut behind the image for some added beauty ;-)  I can tell you first hand that inventory is running low on these dies so you might want to get yours while you still can!!!

Summer Garden...

Happy Friday Everyone!

I found some more time in my studio yesterday.  I just couldn't wait to paint another one of the new Summer Luvin' CandiBean images!  I am addicted!!!

This time I chose

I've been really enjoying painting again.  I had gotten tired of it and stepped away from it for a bit, but it feels so good to have my painting mojo back again!  Sometimes you just need to take a little break in order to find your love for something once again.  The CandiBean images are so sweet that they require gorgeous vintage floral prints to accompany them.  So, I opened up a pack of the beautiful Maja Design 'Coffee in the Arbour' papers and I just love how they look.

I have a new favorite thing by the way.....it's the A Gilded Life pieces from Spellbinders.  I used one to house the sentiment, which, by the way, is from our upcoming LDRS 'Friends' sentiment set that we'll be releasing in July.  I tucked in a die cut from our gorgeous 'Lovely View' die.

All of the flowers and such are from my stash.

Here's a close up of the painted image.  She is just so pretty with her curly hair!

Thank you so very much for stopping by today.  I hope you found some inspiration in my project :-)

Welcome Everyone!

I'm back again today with another pocket card.  I have really enjoyed making these!  This one also features one of new CandiBean stamps.  I just can't get enough of them!!!!  Take a look...

Once again, I used the LDRS designer dies all over the place!!!  I'm also having a ton of fun with them :-)  I used the Darling Square Die Set as a border across the top of the card, a border at the bottom of the sentiment, AND the gorgeous flourishes popping out the right side of the sentiment.  That sentiment, btw, is a sneak peek of a new set that's coming out next month!!!!!!!   Shhhh...don't tell anyone!

On the inside of the card is a pocket that allows you to add a card for a handwritten note, a gift card or a small trinket.  I have decorated the inside with more sentiments from the upcoming vintage set.  I also included a scrolling header stamp from the LDRS Vintage Stamp Set.  It's one of my favorite sets because it's so extremely versatile and full of Victorian details!

Here's a closeup of the inside.  I've added a beautiful die cut of the gorgeous Victorian Fluttered Tulip Bodice.  This die is so feminine and lush!  I backed it with a few hand cut pieces to really showoff the beauty of the shape.

And here she is!  The star of the show!!!  This is Blackberry Penny from the new CandiBean collection.  Could she BE any cuter?  And what a joy to paint!  I was so relaxed and at ease painting her and I really love how it turned out.  I used the Darling Square Die Set to cut the image out (notice the edges are embossed too), and added a few more flourishes and a sentiment piece from the same die set.  There are so many gorgeous pieces to the Darling Square Die Set and they all coordinate so perfectly!  The sentiment is yet another sneak peek of things to come!

So that is it from me today.  I will be back as soon as I can with more art from my heart.

Words....they mean so much!

Welcome Everyone!

I've got a fun little project to show you today that I've been playing with on and off for a little while.  Lately, I'll have three projects going all at once that I'm bouncing between.  And I finally finished one!  Yay me!

I bought a set of 6x6 canvases and thought they would make a nice wall hanging.  I wanted to make my own version of those wall hangings that you see everywhere that are covered in words.  But I wanted something that would express my own thoughts and feelings.

I applied gesso over the entire surface to prep it for paint.  I added a bit of paint and rubbed some distress ink on the edges for a bit of age.  Once dry I grabbed the LDRS Large Words sentiment set and started stamping away!  I added some rub-ons, clear gems, metal corner pieces and flowers from my stash.  I found the ribbon in my stash and stapled it to the back.

Now it hangs on the wall in my studio and I love it!  It's perfect for the little wall space above my favorite upholstered chair :-)
