Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop

Hey there everyone!  Welcome to another Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!!!  It's time to pull out all of your Magnolia stamps from the 'Winner Takes It All' collection because we have a 'Sports' theme this time!!!  I took some creative liberties with the theme because I really wanted to use my stamps from the new 'Summer Memories' collection.  I think it all worked out just fine :-)

If you've arrived here from Patti Jo's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, then start at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog to catch the show from the start.  There you can also check out the wonderful prize that you could win by joining us in this challenge and entering your own 'Sports' project.

Here's my card.  I hope you like it :-)

Pool Party
I started the front of my card with 'Burger Tilda', 'Tilda's Barbeque' and 'French Menu'.  They're all from the new 'Summer Memories' collection and are available at Magnolia-licious.  I just love this collection!!!  I also used the DooHickey 'Thought Bubbles' die and I just love how it looks!  I added some little scribbles around it to 'party it up' a bit.  The dp's are from a new Christy Tomlinson paper pad.  CS is by SU.  The image and its matte were cut using SB dies.  The beautiful blue lace is by Webster's Pages.  Lastly, the doily is from my stash.

Here's the inside of the invitation.

Swimming is a sport...right???  I do it so leisurely that it just doesn't seem like one!  This is 'Diving Tilda' and she's from the 'Winner Takes It All' collection.  I've had this stamp for quite a while and never had the chance to use it until now.  She was super simple to color too.  I cut her out and added her to the silly little poem with dimensionals.  I got the poem off of the internet.  It was a birthday pool party poem and changed a few words to make it fit my purpose.

Here's the bottom part of the inside.  I left it blank for now.

And we're closing with the front of the card again.

All images were colored with Copic markers.  Due to time constraints I didn't keep track of the colors I used.  I'm sorry :-(

Well, that's it from me today!  The next stop on the Hop is Sharon.  I'm sure she has something outstanding to share with you!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you'll leave me a little note to let me know what you think of my invitation :-)

Have a great day!

Hi Everyone!

Gosh, I don't think I've ever neglected by blog this long!  Yikes!!!  I will be back next week with a new project or two.  I'm working really hard these days on getting ready to break ground on the new house as well as preparation of the CHA booth.  I still have a lot to do for CHA but it's all coming along nicely.  As far as the house goes, I've handed nearly everything in and we're waiting for final approval from the bank and permits from the township.  This process has been a long one and I'm exhausted.

So I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off work and heading to my studio to get a project ready to show.  I've got a long way to go on my project and I really hope I get it together by Sunday evening.  I can picture it in my head, I hope it'll all come together.  I'm feeling a bit rusty!

Big Hugs to you all,

Magnolia-licious DT Challenge

Welcome to May everyone!  I hope this month proves to be super sunny and warm for you all.  We're heading into warmer weather as summer approaches here in Michigan.  My gosh I cannot wait til the extreme heat gets here!  In preparation for summer, the Magnolia-licious DT has a 'Color Me Summertime' challenge going on and we're using the colors of summer:  yellow, orange and blue.  I had made my card for something else, but it works perfectly with this challenge so I decided to use it.

You can enter the challenge too!  Get all of the details at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.  You can see all of the DT's inspirations there and there is a fantastic prize to win too!

Here's my card....I hope you like it!

Love is in the air....

I couldn't wait to use more of my new Magnolia's from the 'Summer Memories' club kit!  This is such a fabulous release!  I decided to color up 'Honeybee Tilda' sitting on the 'Meadow Daisy'.  Both are on preorder at Magnolia-licious with some fantastic discounts, along with the rest of the release.  I colored the images with a combo of Copic markers and watercolor with DI's.  I used a new paper that I really like a lot.  I had no idea if I'd be able to use the Copic's on it, but it worked rather well.

The card shape and background dp were cut with a Go Kreate die.  The tag was cut with a Magnolia DooHickey die called 'Tilda Tag', but I don't see it in the Magnolia-licious store right now.  It's one of my favorite DooHickey dies because I love the lacy piece that folds over the tag.  Anyway, I'm sure if you inquire about it at Magnolia-licious they'll be able to get it for you.  Their customer service is fantastic and it's the only place that I shop for my Maggies!

I don't have the name of manufacturer of the dp's - sorry!  I added the squiggles around the images by hand for a whimsical touch.  The twine, cheesecloth, sentiment and metal flower are all from my stash.  I think that little piece of lace trim is from RRR.

That's it for me today!  I hope you found some inspiration in my card :-)  It was so much fun getting back to painting.  It's been quite a while since I used my DI's as I've really been enjoying my Copics.

Have a wonderful day and try to find some creative time!

Hugs to you all my friends,

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps

is the new

North American Distributor

Saturated Canary RUBBER STAMPS!!!

That's right everyone!!!
Saturated Canary images will soon be available in RUBBER!

Here's what you can expect as we get started...

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps will be taking Saturated Canary to CHA in Rosemont, IL in July !!!  We will be in Booth 918 for those of you that wish to stop by and see us.  The lovely Krista Smith, the artist behind the images, will be there with us some of the time so you may even get the chance to meet this talented lady.

The rubber line of Saturated Canary will include both existing images as well as many new, exclusive images.  So you will be able to purchase some of your favorites in rubber as well as many BRAND NEW ADORABLE images that will only be available in rubber.

Saturated Canary rubber stamps will be available for purchase at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps some time in July.  A formal announcement will be made once a date is selected.  It's quite possible that some will go up for pre-order before then.  HOWEVER, the exclusive images will not be revealed until CHA.

Starting immediately, you will have an opportunity to show off your Saturated Canary creations at Little Darlings ChallengesThe Little Darlings Challenges blog will be open to all craft projects that feature one of the following images:  Little Darlings, Cuties Pies or Saturated Canary.

Here is a card that I made with one of my favorite Saturated Canary images.  I wanted to color up this gorgeous image and showcase her with this announcement because she is perfect for this time of year.  The name of the image is simply...Windy Day.

This gorgeous image was such a joy to work with.  I just love coloring the Saturated Canary images because they offer up so many ways to work with a ton of colors all in one image.  I just adore the beautiful big eyes and all of the layers in her hair and clothes.  I want to dress like her!  I don't know how Krista comes up with such amazing images time and time again.  Just wait til you see the exclusive images that she's done for RUBBER ONLY!!!

I paired this little lovely with some gorgeous dp's by Pink Paislee.  They are so soft and subtle and I just love them in the background of this image.  I also wanted to show you how the Saturated Canary images match so perfectly with the LD Warm Fuzzies sentiments which are designed by our very own Mindy Baxter.  This one is from the Spring Sentiments set and is available right now at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.

The flowers are all from WOC and the lace and doily are both from my stash.  I used an old border punch to cut the border towards the bottom of the card.  Lastly, I hand doodled some little dots and dashes around this gorgeous Saturated Canary image.

Thank you all for stopping by and sharing in our news today.  I'm extremely excited about this new adventure.  Krista Smith is not only a very talented lady, but she's an absolute sweetheart and a joy to work with.  I'm looking forward to bringing you more release details as we get closer to CHA.  I'll let you know as soon as the rubber stamps are available for purchase.  Until then, please stop by Little Darlings Challenges to enter your Saturated Canary projects in the challenges.

Big Hugs and tons of love to you all!
