Scrapbooking!

Hi Everyone!  I'm ba-ack!  Wow...it's been so long I almost forgot how to post something!  I've been so swamped with work.  The only time I see my studio these days in when I walk down the hallway to my son's room :-(  My New Year's resolution is to spend at least 6 hours in my studio each month.  That should be enough for me to make two projects per month.  I really miss coloring and I'm not sure how I will do once I get back to it.  Hopefully my hands won't be shaky!

So, we're getting ready for CHA.  The pallet has been shipped and I'm leaving in just 10 days. I'm totally overwhelmed with things to do.  My son starts school again on the 7th so that only gives me a couple full days to get things done before I leave.

We've got several new things to show off at CHA.  The first sneaky peek for you is some of the fabulous heavy duty 12x12 double-sided scrapbook papers that we're releasing!  Yes, heavy duty!  These papers can all but stand on their own!  I'm not a fan of those super thin papers :-(  When I put a project together I want there to be some weight to it!

We decided to go with 12x12 papers instead of the 6x6 packs so that everyone can enjoy them.  They're not just for card making!  Scrapbookers can us them too!  But, we've kept the patterns smaller so that the designs are still recognizable when the papers are cut in smaller pieces like we do when making cards.  That's always been the reason why I would pass by the larger papers at the scrapbook store.  But you won't have to worry about that with our papers!

Another reason that I like the 12x12 size is that they're easier to use for altered projects.  You can't cover much real estate with those smaller paper pads!  And, they're double-sided so you never see that plain white 'other side of the paper'. Yuck!  And another thing... what about those giant dies that we like to use for making funky shaped cards?  You can make those beautiful card shapes with gorgeous papers that have the smaller designs!  Cool huh?

Here's a sampling of two of the designs from the new LDRS 'Summer Sorbet' collection.  This collection is full of gorgeous summer colors like pink, orange and green.  The patterns are whimsical and playful.  You can mix and match them in so many ways that the creative possibilities are endless!  We're releasing the full collection at CHA.  You can always get them at the LDRS online store, but check with your favorite retail store if you want to be able to get them locally.

That baby girl in the center there is my Chloe.  She's a 10 year old Pembroke Welsh Corgi and she captured my heart the moment I held her in the palm of my hand.  I had made a scrapbook page for summer CHA and couldn't bear to have it go to waste.  So, I popped into my studio for all of 5 minutes, ripped the page apart, and renewed it with our LDRS 'Summer Sorbet' collection.  I love it even more with the new papers!  Chloe likes it too.  She gave it her 'sniff of approval' :-)

Well everyone...this is my final sign off for the year.  I will be back again next year :-)  Thank you all for such amazing support and kindness throughout the year.  It has been remarkable!  I wish you all the very best of health and happiness in 2013 and beyond.  Have a wonderful evening and be safe tonight!

Hugs and kisses,

Angie

Trimming The Tree...

Hello Everyone!  I can't believe it's been more than a month since I've posted anything!  Time sure does go by quickly.  I've been very busy with work and then spent a week in bed with a really bad sinus/ear infection.  But, now that's gone and I'm back to work again.  So much to do and so little time!  We've started getting ready for CHA in January.  That list is a long one.  But I'm sure we'll find a way to make it all happen.  We don't really have a choice after all!

I haven't had any time to craft lately, but found myself in a situation yesterday where I needed to make a card with the Saturated Canary 'Trimming the Tree' image.  I need to send one to someone and realized that I didn't have one.  So, I set some time aside today to make one.  I decided to use Mindy's digi papers for it since they're so doggone cute.  She's got several collections available in her Etsy store and they're very reasonably priced.  They print out beautifully too!

Trimming the Tree

I colored the image entirely with Copic markers.  It was so strange to have them in my hands again after a month.  It's amazing how they didn't feel natural at first.  I had to really think about what I was doing since I was sooooo out of practice.  I'm happy with the result, although the colors are a bit brighter than I had originally wanted.  I obviously grabbed the wrong shades of pink, but it was too late once I got the color down on paper.  Still, I think it turned out ok.

The papers are from Mindy's 'Christmas Memories' digi collection.  Here's what the entire set looks like.  My favorite pattern is the one with the pink snowmen.  They look like they're made from marshmallows!  Love em'!

Mindy has 2 more Christmas digi collections:  Christmas Cookies and Country Christmas.  They're super cute as well.  You should check them out.  There is still plenty of time to make some holiday cards and projects before Christmas.  And, at only $3.00 per set they're a steal!

Thank you so very much for stopping by today.  I really enjoyed showing you my card from today.  I hope you'll leave me a little note to let me know that you stopped by :-)

Hugs to you all my friends :-)

Happy Holidays...

Hello There!  I'm back with my very first Christmas card this year.  My gosh!  I feel so far behind everyone!  I've been seeing Christmas cards for several weeks now.  I made this one for a card class that I'm teaching at The Happy Scrapper on October 13th.  I recently introduced them to the Saturated Canary rubber stamps and taught an awesome group of ladies how to color up Wedding Bells.  I decided to work with another Saturated Canary image for the next class, but this time I made a Christmas card with the adorable Candy Canes.  Candy Canes is temporarily out-of-stock in the LDRS store, but she'll be back in just a couple of weeks.  She is just the cutest image so if you haven't gotten her yet, you may want to keep checking back at the LDRS store so you can nab her up once she's back in stock.  I don't expect her to last long in the store!

Happy Holidays...

I have paired 'Candy Canes' with dp's from Simple Stories.  They are available at The Happy Scrapper. The beautiful glittery snowflakes are from a local craft store.  I used a bingo card as the sentiment and it was cut from the back of one of the dp's.  The red velvet ribbon is from The Happy Scrapper.  The flower and other embellies are from my stash.

I colored 'Candy Canes' with Copic markers.  Here's the list:

E000, 00, 01, 11, 13
R20, 30, 32, 34, 35, 37, 39
G20, 21, 24, 94
BG96
B0000, 00, 02, 04
N0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
C00, 1
W00, 1, 3, 5, 7

That's it from me today!  I had fun showing my project to you.  I hope you enjoyed your visit :-)

Take care and have a wonderful day!

Fresh Baked Pie

Hello Everyone!  If you've been following me on Facebook, then you know that we have begun construction on our new house.  We broke ground yesterday and now I need to start making the really big decisions.  This house has already been nearly 2 years in the making and it's so exciting to have finally begun this phase.  The build is expected to take about 10-11 months.  Here's hoping we stay on schedule!!!

If you follow the Little Darlings Inspiration Blog then you may have noticed that I completely missed my post on Sunday :-(  Sheri stepped up to the plate and covered my backside.  Thank you Sheri!!!  So I am taking Sheri's turn with my post today :-)

So....I have had this scene painted for nearly 2 weeks and finally found time today to put the card together.  I hadn't painted in sooooooo long and this was so difficult that it was almost torture at times.  I can't tell you how many times I nearly threw it away and started over again!  But, I powered on through and I'm pretty happy with the result.  If I were to start it again, I'm certain there are things that I would do differently.  But that's probably ALWAYS the case!  LOL!!!!

Fresh Baked Pie

Well, here she is!  She's got a 'Fresh Baked Pie' and she's ready for company!  Want some?  Mmmmmm....smells delish!  She is one of the lovely LDRS Cutie Pies!  I have paired her with the really great 'Wing Back Chair' and 'Table & Lamp', also from LDRS.  The combo creates such a warm and cozy 'at home' scene.  And, they were SO MUCH FUN TO WORK WITH!!!!!  When I had these designed, I wanted some background elements that would really create an in-home feeling with a little bit of whimsy.  I think they are perfect!

The papers are from BoBunny and, although they have a lot pink, they are very warm Autumn colors overall.  I think it's the brown and green that give it that feel.  The flowers are all from my stash.  Claudia gave me the green flowers, along with a couple of other colors, and I really LOVE them.  Thank you Claudia!!!  The ribbons are from SU and American Crafts.  I doodled the brown stitching around the scene.  The images....well, as mentioned, they are painted with DI's.  I also used a few Copics on the skin and hair.

Well, that's it from me today!  Thank you so very much for stopping by!!!

Hugs to you all :-)

Ciao,

Angie

Wedding Bells...

Hi Everyone!!!!!!!!  Well, it has been FOREVER since I've posted a new project!  Man oh man!  It feels so great to be here and I'm sooooo excited about the project that I have to share today :-)  It took me a while...coloring here and there...but I finally finished it today and I couldn't be happier with it.

I tell ya, it's been really difficult getting back into the swing of things after not coloring or painting for such a long time.  I picked up my paint brush about a week ago and painted for the first time in months!  I still need to add the deep shadows to it and put the project together.  But, the painting in on my craft desk and I really love looking at it.  The painting part was a struggle though.  Not at all like the 'riding a bike' thingy!  Anyway, I'll be finishing that project and will hopefully be able to show it to you next week.

So, what's been going on over here?  Well, the last of the packages shipped out last week.  I've taken a few days to get back into the school schedule with my son and get some things done that have needed doing for quite a while.  Hubby and I are waiting to hear which day the excavators will arrive at our property to get digging.  We're just waiting for our turn on their schedule and it could be at any time.  I'll post pics as soon as I have some.

Claudia has formally introduced me to Ikea and I love it!!!  I stopped in there once before but didn't have much time to spend.  Yesterday Claudia and I spent three hours there and needed even more time.  I am a new Ikea fan!!!  We started with a really good lunch, I had swedish meatballs, and then made our way around both floors.  Here's a question, when you're in Sweden, are they simply called 'meatballs'?  Anyway, I spent waaaaaaay too much money on stuff for the house that we haven't built yet!  LOL!!!!   I needed to get that stuff while they still had it though!  There are some light fixtures for my future studio that I still want to get so we're going to have to make another trip there soon.  Hubby is going think I'm even more nuts than he does now!

On to my project...I'll be teaching a card class at The Happy Scrapper on September 24th and I made a special card for it.  When I taught the Copic class there, we used the Little Darlings and Cutie Pie images.  This time I decided to work with a Saturated Canary image to show them how to color one.  I hope you like it :-)

Wedding Bells

When making a card, I usually select the image first.  However, this time I chose the papers first.  I saw these papers at The Happy Scrapper and just fell in love with them.  I selected 4 patterns and somehow managed to use all 4.  Next up was the image...I thought the papers would make a beautiful wedding card so I selected Wedding Bells by Saturated Canary.  Her hair was sooooo much fun to color!  It's my favorite part of the image actually.  I pulled the color of her dress from the papers and decided to keep her hair light so as to keep the overall feel of the card soft.  I also pulled the blue in the bow that is around flowers from the blue in the papers.

I used 2 new TH 'On The Edge' dies that I bought at The Happy Scrapper.  I trimmed the left side of the card using the 'Scrollwork' die and the right side of the card using the 'Distressed Doily' die.  I really love the effect it lends to the card.  I distressed both a bit by rubbing the edges with a little DI in Tea Dye.  It really helps to make them show up more on the card.

The flowers and corner piece are from WOC.  The pearls are from my stash.  Lastly, I scribbled a little doodle around the image with my .05 Multiliner to add a little bit of whimsy to the card.

That is it for me today!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I do hope that you'll leave me a little note to let me know that you were here.  I've really missed being here and hearing from you.

Take care and have a wonderful day!

Ciao,

Not a Square...

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps

Hello Everyone!  Today it is my turn to try to inspire you with something from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  The theme this month is 'Anything but a Square', so I've opted to go for something round...a lampshade!!! I made this lampshade for CHA. I was inspired by something that I had seen a while back and thought it would be a great addition to the CHA booth.

To begin, I purchased an inexpensive lamp at a local hardware store. I then made a trip to the fabric store and found some fabric remnants that were further discounted by 50% and the colors and prints were perfect. The lampshade was originally just white paper, but I hot glued the fabric to it. I trimmed the edges with some ruffles that I made from torn strips of the coordinating fabric. They are hot glued as well.

That was as far as I had gotten when Mindy arrived at my house just days before we were to depart for CHA. I told her that I didn't have time to finish it and she jumped right in and saved the day. There was no way she was going to let us go to CHA without that lamp! I stamped the images on fabric and she colored them all in for me....in record time too! Thank you Mindy!!!!! While she did that, I tore some fabric strips and made rolled flowers from them. What a gluey mess that was! The stems are pipe cleaners...again, hot glued to the shade, as are the rolled flowers. Lastly, the images were temporarily applied with doublesided tape. They can be easily removed so I can change the images whenever I want :-)

I used 3 fun Little Darlings stamps:

They are all perfect for a girl's room. What girl doesn't love to jump rope, swing a hula hoop and want to be a chearleader???

Here are some pics of the project. I apologize for the quality of the pics. The lamp was too large for my photo tent and the natural light was making the pics far too yellow today. So I did the best I could.

This image is Jump.

This image is Go Girl Go!

This image is Go Team Go!

That's it from me today! I hope I have inspired you in some way :-)

Hugs to you my friends!

Charlie Tango...hehehe...

Hey Everyone!!!  As you can see from the title of this post...I'm reading 'the books' too :-)  Believe it or not, I'm mostly interested in finding out what the heck happened to Mr. Grey when he was a kid!  Don't tell me though...I want to find out on my own.  I'm not that person who reads the last chapter of the book first.  I enjoy the 'not knowing'...the anticipation of what will happen next.  It's the only thing that keeps me reading!

As this post is going up, I have a group of ladies arriving at my house for our monthly card class.  I couldn't hold the class in July because of CHA, so it's been a couple of months since I've seen everyone and I'm really looking forward to it.  The classes run about 3-4 hours but the time flies by since we have so much fun :-)

I'm also grateful for this month's class because it forced me to do some crafting, which I absolutely do not have time for.  We're working really hard to get the CHA orders out the door and there is a tremendous amount of work to be done.  Anyway, I started coloring this image one morning last week.  I was apparently so deprived of coloring that I woke up thinking about how I would color this image!  It was very relaxing once I finally got started and I'm really happy with how it turned out.  I hope you like it too :-)

Charlie Tango

I just love this stamp!!!  Her name is 'Isabella' and she's from brand new Saturated Canary rubber release.  She is currently on pre-order at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps, where you can also find the rest of the Saturated Canary stamps in rubber.  This stamp reminds me of so many movies...like 'True Lies' for instance!  You can just hear the tango music when you look at her.  This is also a great image for a New Year's Eve card with 'Isabella' all dressed to the 9's in that awesome dress!

'Isabella' is colored with Copic markers.  This is the first time I've really and truly enjoyed coloring black hair.  It often times makes me a little nervous, but there's something about her hair style that made it really fun.  I've always wished I could wear my hair like hers but I have sooooo many cowlicks all over my head so it's impossible.  Anyway...all flowers are from WOC and ribbons are American Crafts.  The black gems are from my stash.  I cut the bracketed border with a TH die.  I had cut off all of the names from the dp's without thinking and the trash went out on Thursday morning so I have no idea who they're by...sorry!

That's it for me today!  Please feel free to leave a little note to let me know you were here :-)

Ciao!

Aprons...

Hi Everybody!   I've returned from CHA and spent a few minutes recovering. It was an absolute blast!!! I'm hoping that you saw the pics on our LDRS Facebook Group. If not, then check it out here! I've still got a bunch of pics to edit and post so you'll be seeing more in the coming days.

Today I hope to inspire you with a project that I made for the ladies to wear in the CHA booth. All by my little ol' self, I made aprons from start to finish. Here's a couple of pics:

Here, our DT models, Ruby and Mindy are showing you two of the aprons...Ruby is wearing 'Pretty Posie' by LDRS and Mindy is wearing 'Summer' by Saturated Canary (available soon). Remember, the new images will be available soon at LDRS as well as a craft store near you. Many retail stores will be posting their pre-orders soon so be on the lookout so you can place our orders while supplies last!!!

The images were stamped on a lightweight canvas with Memento ink, colored gently with Copic markers, and then heat set with an iron. I used shabby chic fabrics and mixed them all up so no two aprons are alike. I made the pattern myself...but it's really just a lot of sewing of panels, gathering them to make the ruffles, and stitching them on to the cavas base. I used some really pretty heavy ribbon for the straps that tie in the back. It was a simple, but time consuming, project.
Well, that is it from me today!
I hope you enjoyed my project and will maybe even try to make your own some time.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs,
Angie

For You...

Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop!!!

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to this months Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop!!!  I'm writing this from CHA and we're having soooooo much fun!  Mindy and I just had dinner and we're taking a little break to simply relax a bit in our hotel room.  We had a very busy day today...and on very little sleep.  We both had sleep issues last night.  I think it was all from being anxious about the start of our CHA adventure :-)  Anyway, we're here now and I'll have plenty to share with you in the coming days.  Right now we're in the middle of a blog hop so let's get to it!!!

Our theme this month is 'Anything but a square'.  I chose to work with a simple oval, which isn't very simple at all when it comes to cutting the papers and trying to lay it all out!  I guess that's why we call it a "challenge" :-)  Now, don't forget that you can enter the challenge too!  Just head on over to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog to get the deets and get working on your card.  We'd all love to see what you come up with!

Also, if you've come by my blog from Mindy's, then you're on the right track.  If not, then start from the beginning at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.

For You
I couldn't wait for a reason to ink up this Little Miss Muu Muu.  I just think she's the cutest!!!  And she was super easy to color :-)  I put her in a field of grass with a bit of blue sky behind her and she's just adorable!  Almost makes me want one ;-)  ....almost.  She is currently available at Magnolia-licious at a great discount!  She won't be in stock long because she's so doggone cute so you may want to head on over and grab her while you can!

I paired her with some brand new dp's that we're debuting tomorrow at CHA and they're from Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  They're in a 6x6 paper pack title 'Chocolate Covered Cherry' that was designed by our very own Mindy Baxter!!!  I threw in some lace and pearls from my stash and some WOC flowers.

That's it from me today!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  The next gal on the Hop is Cheryl and I just know she has something spectacular to show you!

Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,

Angie

By the Sea...

Hi Everyone!  CHA is just around the corner and I think I'm actually going to finish everything that I had planned...with a little help from my bestie - Mindy.  Thanks Mindy!!!  You're a doll!

I haven't been able to post as much as I would have liked, but I thought I would show off a couple of projects that I made a while back.  I was asked to do some things with a 'Seaside' theme and this is what I came up with.  You may have seen these already in an older issue of Magnolia Ink, but I wanted to show them off in their entirety and give you an explanation of how I came up with them.

Here they are:

I found this beautiful frosted bottle at a local craft store and thought it would be great to hold some bubble bath.  So I thought about making a bathroom set that you could rest by the tub in your summer cottage.  It's pretty to look at and useful too!  I grabbed the soaps, some paper, a little lace and string, a few beachy charms and this is what I came up with!  That little cutie is 'Mini Mermaid Tilda' and she is perfect for this 'Seaside' project.  She is available right now at Magnolia-licious and she's perfect for use on many of your summer projects.  I tell ya, these Mini Magnolia stamps are so quick and easy to color.  I think it took me less than an hour to color all three with Copics and DI's.  I cut them out and matted them with some SB nesties and the project was complete!

This 'Miss You' card set was another easy-to-do project.  I made the bag with a little help from my Scor-Pal.  If you don't have one of the babies, get one and it'll quickly become one of your favorite paper crafting tools.  I use either my Scor-Pal or by Scor-Buddy with each and every paper project that I make.

I thought of this project as a little going away gift that you could give to a friend so she could write you while she's away for the summer.  It's a little more personal than a postcard dontcha think?  I would love to get one of these in the mail with a little hello and an update on a friends travels.  I used 'Swimming Tilda' on the front of the bag and colored her with Copics directly on the Magnolia dp.  I don't see her in the store right now in the full size, but she is available in Mini.  I used the 'Seahorse' on all of the cards in the set.  It was cut and matted with SB nesties as well.  Both sentiments, 'See You Later' and 'Miss You' are also from Magnolia.

That is it from me for now.  I will be posting from CHA as often as I can so I hope you can make your way back here!  If you happen to attend CHA, then please stop by the Little Darlings Rubber Stamps Booth 918 to say 'Hello'!

Big Hugs to you all,

Angie

Christmas in July...

Magnolia-licious DT Challenge

Hi Everyone!  I'm back today with a new Magnolia-licous DT Challenge.  This time we were asked to make a 'Christmas in July' project.  I don't know about you, but it's 90 degrees here and the last thing I've been thinking about is Christmas!  LOL!!!  So, this was definitely a challenge!  Also, we could only use the Magnolia 'Mini' images on our project.  I decided to make a tag and use one of my favorite Christmas/Winter images on it.  I hope you like it :-)

The DT has all done a fabulous job with this challenge.  You can see everyone's artwork at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.  There you will find links to the DT's blogs so you can go checkout the details of the projects.  You'll also find that you too can enter the challenge and win a fantastic prize sponsored by Magnolia-licious.

Christmas in July

On this sweet little gift tag, I used 'Mini Snowy Hug', which I just adore!  It's currently available for you to nab up from the store so you too can make some beautiful Christmas/Winter tags a little early.  I've used this image a lot and I never tire of it.  It's a fairly quick color too even though I used the deep Copic pinks/reds:  R81, 83, 85, and 89.  I shadowed with my N's, using odds up through N7.  The broom got a bit of E50, 33, and 43, with some N's for shadow.  'Snowy' was colored with B0000 and B00, with a little N for shadow.

The dp's are from an old BG paper pad titled Wassail.  The colors are really rich and dark and I just love them!!!  I borrowed this layout from a tag that Mindy made for me for my birthday.  It's one of my favorite things and I will cherish it forever :-)  All of the flowers are from WOC and the sentiment is from Whimsy.

That's it from me today!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I do hope that you'll leave me a little note to let me know that you stopped by for a visit :-)

Big hugs to you all!

Angie

Happiness Be Yours...

Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop

'Weddings'

Happy Monday Everyone!!!  It's time for another Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop and the theme is 'Weddings'.  I have to admit, this is never an easy theme for me.  For those of you that know my cards, you know that I don't often use a lot of soft colors and fluff and stuff.  But, when I think of weddings I think of white, lace, shiny things, pearls, flowers, etc.  I decided to search through my Magnolia papers and found the perfect patterns.  My other problem was that I didn't want to use the Magnolia wedding couples because I've used them so many times.  I really wanted to use an image from a more recent collection that I hadn't colored up yet.  This was a toughy since it had to work with the 'Wedding' theme!  You'll see how it all worked out momentarily ;-)

First, if you've come to my blog from Sharon's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, then start form the beginning at Cheryl's blog so you don't miss any of the fabulous projects.  Be sure to stop by the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog to enter your own project too.  There is always a great prize for the winner!!!

Now, onto my card!!!

Happiness Be Yours
Despite having a difficult time with Wedding cards, I'm really, really happy with my card!  I don't often use purples, but when I pulled out this violet butterfly paper from Magnolia, I just knew I had to use it.  It's from the Mini Butterfly Dreams paper pack and it's available at Magnolia-licious.  I paired it with another Magnolia paper, but I don't know which set it's from.  One of my favorite images from the Summer Memories collection is Tilda with Winding Flowers.  I don't see the full size image in the store right now, but she is available in a special mini set that includes Mini Tilda with Winding Flowers and Mini Tilda with Magnolia Branch.  The set of 2 stamps is priced at only $9.99!!!  That's a huge bargain!  The sentiment that I've used is also by Magnolia and it's titled 'Happiness Be Yours'.  It's a really pretty sentiment from the 2010 Wedding collection.

The cardstock that I selected is from The Paper Company and Bazzill.  I cut and matted the image with SB dies.  I've tucked a birdcage into the background that was cut using a Tim Holtz die that I've had forever and never used.  I threaded the bottom with the violet ribbon, but it got mostly covered by the WOC flowers.  The lace is from RRR and the gems are from my stash.  Lastly, the sentiment was cut using yet another SB die.  It's actually one of my favorites, although I don't use it very often.

That's it from me today!  The next stop on the Hop is my favorite pal....Mindy!!!  You already know SHE has something spectacular to show you!!!

But, before you go, I do hope that you'll leave a little comment to let me know that you were here.  I read every one of them and appreciate them so very much :-)

Hugs to you all,

Angie

Cutie Pies "In The Garden" Release

Little Darlings Rubber Stamps

Cutie Pies "In The Garden" Release

Hi Everyone!!!  What a great day!!!  I'm so excited about this new release!  The response to the first release of Cutie Pies was amazing and I couldn't wait to show off this next one.  I just love this new release of Cutie Pies and they are sooooooooooooo much fun to color!  I really enjoy gardening so this 'In The Garden' theme was a no brainer for me.  I'm certain you'll fall in love with them :-)

The 'In The Garden' collection is available NOW at Little Darlings Rubber Stamps.  If you love them as much as I do you'll want them all.  There is even a coordinating 'Garden Sentiments' set that was designed by my partner in crime - Mindy Baxter.  If you haven't seen her sentiment sets yet, you're in for a real treat.  You already know that she has a wonderful sense of design and style, but she's also funny and poetic and has come up with some super cute sentiments.

To celebrate this release we have a FANTASTIC BLOG HOP!!!  The Little Darlings Rubber Stamps 'Design Team' and some very talented guests have put on the most spectacular show for you.  If you came to my blog from our special guest Sharon's blog, then you're on the right track. I am the last stop on the Hop, but if you missed it, you can start at the beginning at the Little Darlings 'Inspirational' Challenge blog.  I give you my word...you won't want to miss it!!!

So, as I've mentioned, the name of the release is 'In The Garden' so that's also the theme for the Blog Hop.  I wanted to do something with tons of color and flowers and I think I suceeded.  I hope you like it!

Nurture your hopes...
I am so in love with these stamps!  They are so sweet and fun.  I decided to make a scene with 2 images:  'Trimming The Topiary' and 'Water Boy'.  They are super duper cute together!!!  I paired them with some new summer dp's, but I forgot to write down the name before tossing out the scraps :-(  I colored the images with Copic markers to match the dp's.

The lace is from RRR and the light blue ribbon is from SU.  The flowers are from both WOC and Petaloo.  I really like these little white Petaloo flowers.  They add such a feeling of summer.  They're designed to be colored with inks, but I really like them in plain white.  The matte behind the images was cut with a SB die and it adds such a beautiful texture to the card.

This is the inside of the card.  I decorated it to match the front and added a sentiment from the 'Garden Sentiments' set.  I left a little space for someone to personalize the message a bit.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed the Hop as much as we all enjoyed putting it together.  Thank you so much to our very special guest designers!!!  If you have a moment, feel free to head on over to take a look at the entire 'In The Garden' collection.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hugs,

Angie

With Liberty and Justice For All...

Hello Everyone!!!  Well, I got a fabulous little package in the mail the other day!  Magnolia had sent me the new Freedom stamps to work with and I couldn't wait to dive in and play!  My favorite stamp in the set is 'Liberty Tilda'.  She just looks so strong and powerful.  Pauline really did a fantastic job illustrating her.  Being an American, I can truly appreciate what she stands for.  I actually got chills when I saw Pauline's illustration of the Statue of Liberty because she is such a powerful visual reminder of the freedoms that we all have in the United States of America.  I don't think there is anyone in this country that does not know someone that has served in the US military and fought to preserve our freedoms.  Every time I decide to try something new, like starting a rubber stamp company, I remember that it's because of these freedoms that I CAN!!!

Anyway, the Magnolia-licious DT has a new challenge that this time around was decided upon by the fabulously talented sweetheart Mindy Baxter!  She asked us all to create something with a 'water' theme.  That doesn't mean that you have to have water in your design though.  There just has to be some element of water.  It could be the color of water for instance.  And that is exactly what I did.

And, of course, you too can join in on the challenge over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog!!!!  There is always a fantastic prize, but most of all it's just fun!!!  I hope to see a project from you :-)

Here's my card.......

With Liberty and Justice For All
I had sooooo much fun coloring this image!!!!!!!  It's actually a little lighter in person, but that's what happens with photography!  At least when I'm behind the camera ;-)  Anyway, I colored this sweet little Liberty Tilda with Copic markers.  I stamped the Freedom Background all around as my sentiment.  There is absolutely no design paper on this card.  I was working on it while Claudia was over and when I finished it I asked her what she thought.  She really seemed to like it and suggested that I forgo the use of dp's.  I was originally going to cut into the card with one of my dies, but I thought her idea was genius and I absolutely love how it turned out!  Thank you for your help Claudia!!!  She also suggested the simple layout and ribbon.  So basically, I did the coloring and she designed the card!  But I'm still calling it mine!!!!!   :-)

This is just another view for the heck of it :-)

Well, that's it for me today!  I hope you'll head on over to Magnolia-licious to get your own Freedom stamps.  They are totally gorgeous and will not last long in stores.  This is one of the best collections yet!!!  If you don't get all 4 I'm sure you'll regret it later ;-)  So go get em'!!!!!

Hugs to you all!!!!!

Angie

Hi Everyone!
I'm still here!  I haven't had a whole lot of crafting time lately and I really miss it.  It took me two weeks, here and there, to get a project together for tomorrow's monthly card class at my house.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about being so busy.  The things that I'm working on are a part of something really great.  I'm just missing my studio and all of you.  Once July is past, I should be able to relax a bit and get back to a slower schedule.

That being said, Claudia is coming over tomorrow and I'm looking forward to having some time to talk and color together.  She's bringing her kids and our boys will have a blast together.  While they play we're going to try to color, but I'm guessing that we'll do more talking than coloring!  I do have a project to work on for Magnolia-licious and I really want to post it on Monday.  I'm crossing my fingers that I can make some real progress on it tomorrow.

So, now I'm off to bed.  I've got an early class tomorrow morning and then a fun filled afternoon with Claudia and the kids.  I will see you back here soon!

Hugs to you all,

Angie

Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop

Hey there everyone!  Welcome to another Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!!!  It's time to pull out all of your Magnolia stamps from the 'Winner Takes It All' collection because we have a 'Sports' theme this time!!!  I took some creative liberties with the theme because I really wanted to use my stamps from the new 'Summer Memories' collection.  I think it all worked out just fine :-)

If you've arrived here from Patti Jo's blog, then you're on the right track.  If not, then start at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog to catch the show from the start.  There you can also check out the wonderful prize that you could win by joining us in this challenge and entering your own 'Sports' project.

Here's my card.  I hope you like it :-)

Pool Party
I started the front of my card with 'Burger Tilda', 'Tilda's Barbeque' and 'French Menu'.  They're all from the new 'Summer Memories' collection and are available at Magnolia-licious.  I just love this collection!!!  I also used the DooHickey 'Thought Bubbles' die and I just love how it looks!  I added some little scribbles around it to 'party it up' a bit.  The dp's are from a new Christy Tomlinson paper pad.  CS is by SU.  The image and its matte were cut using SB dies.  The beautiful blue lace is by Webster's Pages.  Lastly, the doily is from my stash.

Here's the inside of the invitation.

Swimming is a sport...right???  I do it so leisurely that it just doesn't seem like one!  This is 'Diving Tilda' and she's from the 'Winner Takes It All' collection.  I've had this stamp for quite a while and never had the chance to use it until now.  She was super simple to color too.  I cut her out and added her to the silly little poem with dimensionals.  I got the poem off of the internet.  It was a birthday pool party poem and changed a few words to make it fit my purpose.

Here's the bottom part of the inside.  I left it blank for now.

And we're closing with the front of the card again.

All images were colored with Copic markers.  Due to time constraints I didn't keep track of the colors I used.  I'm sorry :-(

Well, that's it from me today!  The next stop on the Hop is Sharon.  I'm sure she has something outstanding to share with you!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you'll leave me a little note to let me know what you think of my invitation :-)

Have a great day!

Angie
