Thank You So Much...

Hello Everyone!  Wow, it's been a week since I've posted anything!  My new Love To Stamp store and Little Darlings rubber stamps are keeping me really busy...Thank you all so much :-)  It is so exciting to see each of you at the store and I'm so THRILLED that you like the stamps!!!

So, it looks like summer is finally making it's way to Michigan!  We opened the pool on Monday.  Yay!  We've got our first pool party scheduled for June 8th, which is my son's last day of school.  We've invited his entire class of 18 kids, plus siblings and parents.  I'm still waiting on rsvp's so I have no idea how many people to expect yet.  It's gonna be a lot of fun!  I'm hoping it'll be good and hot!!!

PaperPlay Challenges

It's time for another PaperPlay Challenge with Team A!  This week's theme is 'Blossoms and Blooms'.  How fun!  We all love our flowers!!!  This week's sponsor is Whiff of Joy.  They've got some beautiful new things going on over there so I hope you'll check them out.

Here's my project.  I had so much fun painting and assembling this card.  I love the way it turned out!

Thank You So Much
I decided to work with a combo of 2 mini Magnolia images:  #3011 Mini Tilda with Straw Hat and #532 Mini Romantic Window.  Both images are available right now at Magnolia-licious, where you'll always get quick and fantastic service.

Personal Note:  You know, I've ordered products from many companies around the world.  I remember, when I first discovered Magnolia stamps, waiting for 2 months for an order of Magnolia stamps that I ordered from a retail store overseas.  I finally cancelled the order.  When I found Magnolia-licious, the waiting was over.  And yes, I do design for them now.  But I'm not obligated to say anything about their service.  They truly are awesome to deal with and you can expect to receive any stocked product very quickly.  Hats off to Diana Crick for fantastic customer service!

I masked the stamps using a Stamp-a-ma-jig (a rubber stamper's essential tool).  The gorgeous dp's are from Pink Paislee's "Butterfly Collection" and are available at Love To Stamp.  Cs is from Bazzill.  The doily is from my stash and I think I brought it home from a restaurant - I love when that happens!  All flowers are from WOC.  The sentiment is from LOTV and I cut it out with a die from Whiff of Joy.  The cute little craft dragonflies were cut with a Magnolia DooHickey die.

I colored the images using a combo of Copic markers and watercolors with Ranger DI's.  Here are the details:

Copics:  E000, 00, 01, 11, 13, 41, 42, 43, 44

DI's:  black soot, worn lipstick, pumice stone, peeled paint, shabby shutters, weathered wood, tumbled glass, vintage photo, antique linen, walnut stain

Little Reminder - Don't forget about the Little Darlings Challenges contest that's going on!!!  Those of you that ordered stamps should be seeing them soon in your mailbox, if not already.  I can't wait to see your creations!!!  There are great prizes and the contest runs through June 7th.  There is also CANDY up for grabs so be sure to stop by and sign up!

Well, that's all I have for you today!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you'll leave a little comment to let me know that you were here.

Ciao,

Angie

Hello with Smiles!

Little Darlings Challenges DT Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday Everyone!  I hope you've been enjoying the first ever Little Darlings Challenges DT Blog Hop!  Yay!!!!!  The DT and GDT ladies have put on a fabulous show today, haven't they?  If you've come to my blog from Magali's, then you're on the right track.  If not, then please start from the beginning at Little Darlings Challenges so you don't miss out on some gorgeous works of art!

Want another reason to check out the Little Darlings Challenges blog?  There is a sweet CANDY treat up for grabs and it's super easy to enter your name in the running.  There is also a contest that runs til June 8th and has some super prizes!!!  You can catch all of the details on the challenge blog.

Hopefully you noticed already that the Love To Stamp store is now open.  You can get your own Little Darlings stamps there, along with many other products.  I will be filling the store with my favorite things.  You can keep up to date by following the Love To Stamp Store Blog.

And now for my project!  I hope you like it :-)

Hello with Smiles

For my project, I chose to make a corner bookmark.  I've seen these around blogland and have wanted to make one for a while.  I thought this Little Darlings 'Up, Up and Away' image was perfect.  It's actually the one that I colored for the LD Challenge blog banner and blinkie!  HeHeHe...
I paired this cutie with dp's from Lily Bee Designs 'This & That' and 'Happily Lost' collections.  Both 6x6 paper pads are available at Love To Stamp.  Cs is by Bazzill.  I trimmed the bottom edge using a MS border punch.  The ribbon is also by MS.  The sweet pearls are by Prima.  And, although it doesn't show well in the photo, much of this bookmark is trimmed with stardust Stickles.
I used a sentiment from SU and cut it using a SB Fancy Tags Die.  The cutout was too big, so I cropped it to fit on the bookmark.  I colored the image with Copic markers.  Here are the details:

RV00, R81, R83, E000, E00, E01, E11, E13, E41, E42, E43, E44, W3, W5, B0000
Well, since getting my Kindle, I don't read actual paperback or hard cover books any more!  So, I hung the bookmark on the corner of my Kindle so you can see how it looks when serving its purpose.  My hubby thinks it looks a bit ridiculous, but I like it.  I've actually left it there as a decoration!

So....that's it from me today!  Your next stop is the Little Darlings Challenges blog to see the details of the CANDY and contest.  I hope to see you there!!!

Ciao,

Angie

Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!

Hi Everyone!  Welcome to the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop!!!  Today we have a 'Wedding' theme for all you romantics!!!  The Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog has all of the details.  If you came from the lovely Cheryl's blog, then you're well on your way.  If not, then feel free to start over at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog so you don't miss out on any of the gorgeous DT creations.  Wedding season is definitely upon us with the coming of June, so I hope you'll take part and join us in this challange.  I can't wait to see what you come up with!!!

Here's my creation...I hope you like it!

Here Comes the Bride

When I thought about doing a napkin fold card with a wedding theme, the only image I could imagine using was this #159 Classic Bridal Couple.  I framed them with a soft background that I created with #736 Emblem.  On the inside of the card you will see that I also used the sentiment Wishing Two People.  All three stamps are from Magnolia's Wedding Collection 2010.  You can get yours and more at Magnolia-licious!

If you're interested in trying one of these cards, you can find the tutorial at StampARTic.

Now, I realize the photos are a little dark.  But, I wanted you to be able to see all of the details around the edges too.  If I brightened it too much, all of that was lost on the white background.  It kinda lost the effect that way!

These gorgeous dp's are from GCD Studios.  I've had them for quite a while and finally had the right opportunity to use them.  The cs is by Bazzill, of course.  I cut the image using a SB die from the Large Octagons set.  The doily is from my stash.  I used a MS Punch Around the Page set to trim the white cs.  The gorgeous brown ribbon is from my stash.

The image was colored with Copic markers.  Here are the details:

E000, 00, 01, 11, 13, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, R81, 85, 39, 20, YG03, 25, 91, Y21, N0, 1, 3, 5, 7, C1, 3, W00, 1, 3, 5

Here you can see how full the card actually is.

This is how it looks as you start to open it.  Now you can see where most of the work is!!!  I swear, I felt like I was learning origami while making this card!  My goodness...all the folds and re-folds!  Oy Vey!  The only thing that saved me was my Scor-Pal!!!  These folds have to be very precise and I don't think it's possible to survive making this card without a Scor-Pal.  Seriously!  If you don't have one, I highly recommend getting one before attempting a napkin fold card :-)  I absolutely LOVE this card style, but I wouldn't make one without my Scor-Pal!!!

And here it is, open fully, exposing the sweet Magnolia sentiment on the inside.

That's it for today!  Next up is Patti Jo's fab creation.  I just know she has something absolutely awesome to show you!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by!!!  I hope you'll leave a little comment to let me know you were here :-)

Just a little reminder...the very first Little Darlings Challenges Blog Hop will be in two days...on May 18th!  The Little Darlings DT and Guests have a fantastic show planned for you and there will be PRIZES!!!

I hope to see you there!

Angie

Little Darlings Sneak Peek - Day 14!!!

Little Darlings!!!

Happy Sunday Everyone!!!  Today is the last day of the Little Darlings sneak peeks and do you know what that means?????  Yep, tomorrow I open the doors, so to speak, to my new online craft store: Love To Stamp!!!  I still can't believe it's happening!  A few months ago it was just an idea and now it's come to fruition.  HOW AMAZING IS THAT!  Somebody pinch me!!!  No, wait!  If this is a dream, I don't want to wake up :-)

So, as you have seen over the past two weeks, I have assembled an absolutely FANTASTIC team of Designers and Guest Designers.  These women are some of the most talented artists today and I am so lucky that they all accepted my invitation to participate in this event.  Thank you ladies so very, very much!!!  Mindy Baxter, my dear friend and the Design Team Leader, I could not have done this all without her.  She has been absolutely instrumental in making this all happen.  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Sweetie!!!

Now, for my card.  I really hope you like it.  This image is one of my favorites in the collection.  But then again, they all are!!!!!

Shellphone

You guessed it!  This 'Little Darling' is called 'Shellphone'.  I think the name is hilarious!  Doesn't she just look like a girl from an old movie!  OMGosh, I just love it!  I paired her with a background from MIC called 'Tropical Beach' and I think they're stunning together.  The gorgeous dp's are from the Lily Bee Design 'Picket Fence' collection and will be available tomorrow at Love To Stamp.  I just love these 6x6 paper pads.  This 'Picket Fence' collecion also has some beautiful red, green, and purple florals.  It's just beautiful.  I'm going to do my best to stock the store with a really good assortment of my favorite paper pads.

The flowers are from WOC, Bo Bunny and my stash.  The navy ribbon is a spool from American Crafts.  I used a SB Nestie to cut and back the images.  The ocean got a touch of stardust Stickles to make it glisten.  The zig-zag border was cut using a MS punch.

I colored this 'Little Darling' with a combo of Copic markers and watercolors with distress inks.  I hadn't used my inks in quite a while and I was a little worried about how it was going to go.  Turns out it was just like riding a bike!  Here are the coloring/painting details:

Copics:  E0000, 00, 01, 11, 13, 41, 42, 43, Y21

DI's:  weathered wood, tumbled glass, peeled paint, antique linen, faded jeans, fired brick, shabby shutters, black soot, walnut stain, vintage photo

Well everone....that is it for today!  Thank you so much for stopping by.  I truly hope you enjoyed my sneak peek :-)  I hope to see you at the Love To Stamp Grand Opening tomorrow.  We've got some fun things planned in the coming days that you won't want to miss!!!!!!!

Angie

Friends are flowers that never fade...

Magnolia-licious DT

Hi Everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at Magnolia-licious Highlites!!!  This time Suzanne has provided a really great sketch for us to follow.  I really enjoy working with sketches and this one was especially fun.  It was simple and offered a lot of room for embellishment.  All of the DT girls have beautiful creations so be sure to stop at their blogs and take a looksie!  We would love to see what you come up with too!  So make your way to your craft space and get coloring!!!  I hope to see your entry over at Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog :-)

Friends are flowers that never fade...
This little cutie pie is #3012 Tilda with Stuffed Animal and she's from Magnolia's 'Butterfly dreams collection.  She is sitting on #560 Wheelbarrow (from the same collection).  Both are currently available over at Magnolia-licious so hop on over and get yours!!!  I paired her with dp's from the MME Stella Rose 'Hazel' collection.  All cs is by Bazzill.  The flowers are from several manufacturers: WOC, Magnolia, and Recollections.  The sweet sentiment is from Whimsy's 'Spring Letter Seals' collection and it was punched out with a SU punch.  The white lace is by American Crafts.  It came on a roll so you'll be seeing a lot of it!

I colored both images with Copic markers.  The details are below:

skin -  E0000, 000, 00, 01, 11, 13, R20
hair -  Y21, E41, 42, 43, 55
lamb -  N0, 1, 3, R20
flowers/shirt/shoes -  R81, 83, 85
hat, pants -  BG70, 72, 75
greenery -  YG91, 95, 97
wood -  E41, 42, 43, 44, W3
