Roses are red...

Happy Weekend Everyone!  I sure hope you're having a great weekend so far.  We're just hanging around the house today spending some quality family time together.  It's nice to have some 'down time'.  Tonight we're heading over to have dinner with friends.  We've haven't seen them in quite a while so we're really looking forward to it.  The kids always have fun playing together and us adults usually get out the cards - boys vs girls and the girls usually kick booty.

Today I have a card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges!!!  The challenge this week is 'Stitching Real or Fake'.  The DT has some awesome creations so I strongly suggest you go check them out.  I used #349Tilda Holding Bunch of Roses.  You can get this stamp at Magnolia-licious along with many, many others that you're sure to fall in love with.

I chose to make a card that I could send to the very sweet Leonie in Australia.  We've never met, but she went out of her way to send me some stamped hAnglar stAnglar images.  I was so impressed by her kindness and I wanted to send her a special 'thank you'.  I hope you enjoy my creations.

Tilda Holding Bunch of Roses

The dp's are from BasicGrey - Ambrosia and I think they're stunning.  I really enjoyed working with them.  CS is SU.  The ribbon and pins are from Making Memories.  I used a MS photo corners punch for the first time and loved it.  I added diamond Stickles all over and TPC Studio pearls to the corners.  The doily is by Artifacts.

I colored the image using watercolors with distress inks and Copic markers.

I sent the card in this little handmade box along with some card making trinkets inside.  It was a ton of fun to make, however, I was a little lazy and didn't keep track of the materials used - sorry!.  I shipped it off to her without notice and received an email from her the other day full of surprise.  I think we made each other's day.  It's a great thing when you have an opportunity to do something nice for someone special.

Well, that's all I have to today.  I hope you find some time to color!

Ahoy Matey!

Thank Goodness It's Friday!!!  Hi everyone!  Well, it's the end to a very busy week.  I can't believe how much I got done.  I'm looking forward to sleeping in a little tomorrow.  I got to spend a little time in my craft room today.  Yippie for me!  If you recall, earlier this week, I mentioned that I had colored a couple of pirates and I've shown you one already.  Today you get to see the other one.  I love the dp's so much and there are so many patterns, so I used them again for this card.

But first........I'm going to offer up another CANDY!  I know that I just had two giveaways and I don't want you to think that I'm crazy.  When I started this blog, I never imagined the response that I would get.  I made a deal with myself that I would have a giveaway to celebrate my first 100 followers.  Well, that goal has been reached!  And, a lot sooner than ever expected.  Make sure to get down to the bottom of this post for the CANDY!

Now for the real reason we're here!

Jolly Roger Tilda

Per usual, I fell in love with this stamp as soon as I saw it.  #248 Jolly Roger Tilda is part of the Pirate, Bridal, Prom and Magic collection that is due to release in April.  You can pre-order her and others from the collection at Magnolia-licious.

The dp's are from Rusty Pickle - Pirate Princess.  CS is SU.  The flowers are from Magnolia and Prima - the Magnolia flowers are also available at Magnolia-licious and Diana has a great selection.  The ribbon was purchased by-the-yard from a local craft store.  The gems are by Prima.  Both charms are from a box that I keep on my craft table and I have no idea which company they're from.  I used diamond Stickles in the center of the flowers and gently on Tilda's stripes.

I colored Tilda using watercolor with distress inks and Copic markers.

Now for the CANDY!

One of the "can't do without" items in my craft room are the Clip-It Up organizers. If you haven't seen them, they are fantastic for organizing your embellishments. So, because I just had two giveaways with papers and embellishments, I wanted to do something different this time so I'm giving away a Clip-It Up Mini Organizer! It doesn't come with all of the embellishments, but I'm sure you can fill it up in no time at all. I have two of these mini's as well as a 2-tier in my craft room so all of my embellishments are right at hand.

How can you enter this drawing???

1. Leave a comment on this post only.
2. Put a link to this post on the sidebar of your blog (if you don't have a blog, just mention that in your comment).

The deadline for entry is midnight EST on Sunday, April 4th.  The winner will be selected using RANDOM.ORG and will be announced on my blog on Monday, April 5th.  Good luck!!!

I had a great time showing you my creation today.  I hope you can find some time to color!!!

The Chicken And The Egg...

Good Afternoon Everyone!  Having a very busy day today.  I had to take the car in for service, run some errands, clean up my craft room, do laundry, and fix a card that I messed up yesterday.  I don't know what it is, but the more time I have to work on a card, the more trouble I have with it.  When I'm pressed for time, things seem to go much more smoothly.

Here's my story... I dedicated yesterday morning to making an Easter card with my new Magnolia Easter stamps.  I was relaxed, took my time, and three hours later I was very happy with the results.  I left my craft room and went about the rest of my day.  Last night, just before going to bed, I popped my head into my craft room to admire my card once again and realized just what I had done!!!  Tilda was hovering in mid air above the grass!!!!!!  Now this particular Tilda is part of the Easter collection and not the 'magic' collection, so I knew something had gone awry.  NOW WHAT!!!  Think, Think, Think........I grabbed my markers and began to draw more blades of grass and tried to make it appear as though Tilda was standing on a little mound of grass.  It wasn't working and I didn't want to scrap the entire project.  How about Flower Soft????  I didn't have the right colors.  I decided to make a trip to the craft store in the morning.  Needless to say, I had some very stressful dreams last night.

Finally, morning came and I eventually made my way to Archiver's.  Check out my card to see how things turned out.  I'm very relieved.

Chicken Tilda

Isn't she the cutest???  I used both #3027 Chicken Tilda and #461 Three Eggs.  They're available at Magnolia-licious and they're both from the Hoppy Easter collection.  The dp's are from My Mind's Eye - Quite Contrary and they just scream spring and Easter!!!  They just make me smile :-)  The cs is Bazzill.  Do you like the grass???  I made my own mixture of: Fun Flock - Sour Apple Green; Sparkly Fluff - Irish Green & Brown Sugar.  It's fuzzy and I just love it!!!  What a fix!!!  Anyway, the flowers are from Daisy Doodles, K&Company and Prima.  The little green crystals are from Magnolia and you can get them at Magnolia-licious.  The ribbon is just basic craft ribbon.  I used Stickles on the flowers and Tilda's bow.

Here you can better see the dimension of the card.  I just love layers!  I colored the images using watercolor with distress inks and Copic markers.

Thank you for visiting my today.  I hope you enjoyed my creation.  Try to find some time to color.

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Good Evening Everyone!!!  I had a marvelous day today.  Can you guess where I spent it???  In my craft room...where else?  I couldn't wait to work with one of my new Easter stamps and today was the day.  It was so peaceful and relaxing and the card came together so easily.  I'll show you in a minute.

In other news, I'm having a banner designed for my blog and it's nearly complete.  I saw the prototype this afternoon and I really like it.  I can't wait to show it to you.  I'm hoping to unveil it by the end of this week.  No promises, but that's what I'm wishing for.

Now, back to play time.  Here's my creation for today...

Tilda with Newly Hatched Chicken

This sweet little girl is from the 2010 Hoppy Easter collection.  #3047 Tilda with Newly Hatched Chicken is available at Magnolia-licious.  There is still time to get her and the rest of the collection in time for Easter.  Better get to it!

The dp's are also from the Magnolia Hoppy Easter collection!  Aren't they just sweet?  I couldn't wait to use them.  They are available at Magnolia-licious and come in a variety of colors and patterns all in a sweet 6x6 package.  They're perfect for your Easter and spring projects and I just love 'em!!!  The cs is from Bazzill.  Tilda's background was cut with a Nellie Snellen frame die.  The ribbons are just your basic craft ribbons from the local craft store.  I cut the white lace border with a MS punch.  The flowers are from Making Memories and....you guessed it!...Magnolia - also available at Magnolia-licious.  The corner embellies are by Melissa Frances and I absolutely adore them.

I colored the entire image with Copic markers and then added shadows with Ranger Distress Inks - walnut stain and pumice stone.  I use a dry, flat paint brush when I do this step and it's always the very last thing that I add to the image.  It really adds a lot of depth and dimension.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  I had a great time creating this card today and an even better time showing it to you.  I hope you have a great evening.  Try to find some time to color.

A Pirate's Life For Me...

Happy Monday Everyone!!!  Wow, what a busy day today!  I was all set to spend the day in my craft room.  I spent time yesterday working on some things for my son's school so that I could get it out of the way and have today for card making.  Funny how things can change so quickly!  When I dropped my son off at school, I was handed another stack of things to do.  Then, on my way home I spoke with my husband who had another stack of things for me to do.  His stack would generate income, so it wasn't all that bad.  I can't complain when we're in the middle of a deteriorating economy and our business is still holding on.  I am very grateful to say the least.  Still, I really wanted to spend the day in my craft room.

I spent Friday at my friend Gayle's house and colored two images of Tilda the pirate.  I couldn't possibly bring all of my things with me so I had to wait to actually assemble the cards.  Once I got my work done today, I found a tiny bit of time to put one of the cards together.  I hope you like her.  I did not have a plan for this card, so the finished product was a complete surprise to me and I'm very happy with it.

Here she is...
Pirate Tilda

What a cutie!!!  When I saw her, I couldn't resist.  #230 Pirate Tilda is from the upcoming Pirates, Bridal, Prom and Magic collection that will be released in the spring.  You can pre-order the collection at Magnolia-licious.  Diana was able to get her hands on some a little early so she may even have some in stock that you're interested in.  Be sure to check them out right away!!!

I knew that I wanted to use skulls on this card and that meant that I had to go shopping.  I found these fantastic dp's by Rusty Pickle and they're called Pirate Princess - how fitting.  I just love them.  I'll show you some more of them later in the week - hint, hint.  Did you notice the word 'Treasure'?  I was very careful when cutting the dp so that the text would be perfectly placed.  The cs is SU.  The ribbon was purchased by-the-yard.  The roses are by Making Memories.  The key is by K&Company and I colored it black with a Copic marker.  The charm is from a box of them that I have and I colored it with the Copic marker as well.  I used a Gelly roll pen on Tilda's earrings, boot buckles, and the word 'Treasure' for a little glimmer, but it doesn't show up in the photo.  The glittered swirls are from a bag of leftovers that I have.  Finally, I used black Stickles on the borders of the cs.

Per usual, I colored Tilda using watercolor with distress inks and Copic markers.

I had a ton of fun working with this sweet little pirate.  She, among many others, is one of my favorites.  Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you find some time to color.

Ciao for now,

Friends Always...

Hello Everyone!!!  I sure hope your weekend is going well so far.  I've been sooooooo busy getting the books ready for the accountant.  This is a very hectic time of year for us.  But things will slow down a bit for me once I ship everything off to the accountant.  You know, I studied finance in school because I couldn't stand accounting.  Now, it's the part of the business that I have to deal with.  Ugh!!!

Before we get down to play time, we have the winner of my MDUC Birthday Blog Candy!  The winner was chosen using Random.org and she is number 73, Marian from 'Only By His Grace Paper Crafting'!!!  Congratulations Marian!!!

Now, back to play time.  I made this card a short time ago for Magnolia Down Under Challenges and I'm so happy to be able to show it off.  The MDUC challenge this week is with this really great sketch and the DT has put together some really wonderful creations for you to see.  Make sure to head over there to check them out.  And...be sure to get to work on your own creations to enter into the challenge.  It's a really cool one!  I can't wait to see what you come up with : - )

I had a lot of fun with this sketch.  Here's what I came up with...

Tilda with Bow

I LOVE THIS IMAGE OF TILDA!!!  This is one of my absolute favorite Magnolia images.  Doesn't she look so sweet in the field with her tank top and jeans???  I added the field, but she still looks so comfy!  I get my Maggie's at Magnolia-licious.  They have the largest inventory in the USA and the service is impeccable.  You can find Tilda, #209 Standing with Hair Bow right HERE.  She's currently on re-order and will be back in stock soon.  She's a popular girl!  Feel free to stock up on the others as well!!!  Who can resist???  The Hoppy Easter/Spring collection just came out and the store is stocked!  I'll be working with them this next week and I can't wait to show you what I come up with.  Stay tuned!

The dp's are from My Mind's Eye and the cs is SU.  The white flowers are by Petaloo and I made the coordinating flowers with a paper punch, some Glimmer Mist and Mark Richards black gems.  The photo corners were cut with a Cuttlebug die.  I don't know the maker of the sentiment, but I love it.  I used Stickles here and there for a little something shiny.

I colored the image using watercolor with distress ink and Copic markers.  I added the field of flowers using both as well.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed my creation.  Try to find some time to color!!!

The Frog Prince...

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!!  We had a fantastic Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop yesterday!  What fun!!!  I sure hope you were able to join us.  If not, you can still check out the DT creations at Magnolia-licious Highlites.  Everyone was so creative with the Easter/Spring and acetate theme.  Don't forget to join in with your own project!  Use your imagination and you can do amazing things.

Soooooooo, on another note, when I arrived home Friday evening I was welcomed by a wonderful surprise!  My Maggies had arrived!!!  I absolutely could not wait to work with them.  But I had to...it was late and I had to put my son to bed.  Then I had to hit the sack because we had an early morning scheduled for Saturday.  I still don't know how I made it through Saturday!  I didn't get much sleep Friday night because I kept waking up thinking about coloring one of my new Maggies.  Seriously, I must have woke up half a dozen times with coloring on my mind.  My husband said simply "just stop thinking about it".  Dah!!!  Why didn't I think of that???  I explained to him that, unlike men, women do not have that empty, blank space in their brains that they can go to whenever they want!  He didn't laugh.  Aren't sleepless nights miserable???  Anyway, by midday Saturday, I was finally able to get to my craft room.  Aaaahhhhhh...ain't life wonderful : )

My absolute favorite new Magnolia is, drum roll please.....#207 Fairytale Tilda!!!  She's part of the PIRATES & FAIRYTALE COLLECTION that is scheduled for release some time in April.  You can PRE-ORDER her and others from the collection right now at Magnolia-licious.

I layed out this card following the Friday Sketchers challenge this week.  It's a great sketch and it lent itself to a bi-fold card, which I have been secretly wanting to do for a while now.  I just kept forgetting to actually do it!!!

Now, without further adieu, here she is...........

Fairytale Tilda

In keeping with the Spring season that is nearly upon us, I chose some very 'springy' dp's by My Mind's Eye - Ooh La La.  The cs is SU.  I just happened to have some craft ribbon that matched perfectly.  I cut the image and background with Nestabilities.  The leaves were cut using a MS punch.  I applied diamond Stickles all over the wings.  You should see them in person!  Very sparkly!!!  The pearls are by K&Company and I colored them with a Copic marker.  The fantabulous flowers are from Magnolia and you can get them at Magnolia-licous.  Diana has a really great selection of Magnolia embellishments in the store.  You should check it out!

Tilda was colored with a combination of Copic markers and distress inks.

I hope you all have a great day today.  Take a look at the Magnolia-licous DT Blog Hop creations at Magnolia-Highlites if you haven't already.  We really hope you join in on the fun and show us your own creations.

Try to find some time to color.  It's good for the soul.

April Showers...May Flowers!

Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop

Happy Day Everyone!  It's that time again!!!  You're here for the Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop!  This month we have a Spring/Easter theme and we had to somehow use acetate in the design.  Ahhh...there's nothing more exciting than the beginning of spring!  Flowers blooming...birds singing....bees buzzing...it's wonderful how it's so full of life!  By the way, if you reached me by way of Sharon then you're on the right track.  If not, you may have missed some fantastic designs and you can start from the beginning at Magnolia-licious Highlites so you can get caught up.

I've never done a paper project with acetate before, so this was extra challenging, and fun, for me.  I searched and searched for inspiration and stumbled upon a tutorial for a tiny little acetate box.  I knew I had to do something bigger so that I would have enough real estate to incorporate a Magnolia image and other embellishments.  So, I went to work.  I made a prototype that failed miserably.  But I learned a lot from it, tweaked it here and there, and came up with this Rainy Day Box.  I call it that because you can fill it with whatever candies or trinkets you may wish to save for a rainy day.  Or, maybe you could fill it with chocolates and give it to your favorite someone to brighten their rainy day.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Here in Michigan, it rains a lot in the Spring.  In fact, it has been raining for days now.  So, I chose #226 Tilda Spring Rain for the 'April Showers' part.  I got her at Magnolia-licious...my favorite place to shop for everything Magnolia.  I colored her using watercolors with distress inks and Copic markers.  The dp's are by Making Memories and the cs is SU.  I used a MS Punch Around the Page for the final layer of Tilda's background.  Can you see the raindrops on the background paper?  I added color to the edges of the background with distress inks, as well as Stickles for a little something shiny.  The image was cut using Nestabilities.  I added Crystal Lacquer to the splash of water on Tilda's hand, although I think it's hard to see in the photos.  The daisies are from an unknown source and I cut the butterflies with a Marvy punch.  I stickled the heck out of both, and the rain drops, and the edging around the bottom part of the box.  The white lattice is also cut using a MS punch.  The ribbon is by-the-yard from the craft store and the butterfly charm was in a bag of embellishments that I have.  I filled the box with paper Easter grass and plan to fill it with some candy eggs for guests on Easter Sunday.  Oh yeah, in case you didn't notice where I used the acetate...it's the box top!

In this photo you can see the dimension of the box and the decor on the sides.  The finished product is 5.5" x 5.5" x 3".

How about a little something SWEET?

Joining the Magnolia-licious DT as a guest designer has been a dream come true for me.  So, I decided to offer up a little CANDY to celebrate.  You have all been so wonderful stopping by all of the time and leaving such generous and encouraging comments.  This is my way of doing a little something for you.

Spring has Sprung!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!  Well I sure hope you're having a great week!  Life is back to normal in our house.  I'm still a little tired from my cold but feeling much better.  On Wednesday, we have a lunch seminar that we're putting on for clients and prospects so I'm preparing a bit for that.  I don't often meet with clients, so I have to look my best.  Wish I could have gotten the roots colored this week!  I'll have to improvise.

So it looks like they're having a bit of fun over at Friday Sketchers.  They have a challenge this week using a sketch by Claudia.  Not only is hers one of my favorite blogs to visit, but she is on the Magnolia-licious DT.  Her creations are fabulous and I'm in awe of each and every one of them.  Anyway, I thought I would try my hand at her sketch this week, since I haven't entered a challenge in a while.

This is what I came up with...

Happy Tilda

I did things a little backwards this time...well at least for me.  I was moving along as normal...I selected my image, #313 Happy Tilda, which you can get at my favorite store, Magnolia-licious.  I seem to have, once again, selected an out-of-stock image.  Just drop Diana a line and she'll get the image for you.  Sorry about that!  Anyway, I picked out my dp's which are from the BG Wisteria collection - love it!  And then....I took a detour.  I usually color my image next, but this time I worked on my layout and picked out embellishments.  I guess it's just an odd day.  Anyway, cs is by SU, per usual.  The ribbon is just by-the-yard from the craft store.  The doily is actually from a restaurant named Red Robin.  It was under my drink, unblemished and I thought it could be useful.  I guess it was!  The flowers are by Prima and the butterfly is from SCACD - it was a freebie with a purchase a while back.  I created the sentiment in MS Word and printed it.  I then cut it with a SU punch.  Finally, I Stickled the trim on Tilda's outfit as well as the center of the flowers.

With these photos, I tried to show the dimension and layering.  I love layers.  They make for a much more interesting card.
To color Tilda, I used a combination of Copic markers on her skin and hair, and watercolor with distress inks on her clothes.  I was actually planning on coloring the entire image with Copics, but I bought the new Ranger Distress Ink colors the other day and wanted to give them a try.  I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

I hope you have a terrific day.  Try to find some time to color.

Ciao for now,

Don't have a snuggie? How about a hoodie?

It's...Sunday, Sunday, Sunday!!!  I hope you're all well.  I came down with a terrible cold this weekend.  It started with a sore throat on the morning that my husband was flying home from Dallas.  Welcome home honey!!!  I spent yesterday in bed while my husband and son had a wonderful 'Daddy/son day' of lego shopping and a trip to the movie theater.  My son had saved his birthday and Christmas money so he had a nice stash of cash for their shopping excursion.

Anyway, today I'm feeling much better and I thought I would show you my latest creation.  I fell in love with this Tilda from the Winter 2008 collection.  She is all bundled up to keep warm and has her hood framing her sweet little face.  We still have several weeks of winter to go here in Michigan so I thought I would do one last winter card before diving into the spring and Easter cards.

If you're looking for this stamp or any others that I've used, you can find them at Magnolia-licious.  Right now, this one is not in stock.  It's from an older collection but I've never used it and I couldn't resist.  But, Magnolia-licious is my number place to shop for all things Magnolia.  Diana always has new inventory on the way, so I encourage you to stop by the store frequently.  If there is something that you are looking for that you don't see, just drop Diana a line and she'll get it for you.  Right now you can pre-order the new Easter/Spring collection.  She even has some of the Wedding and Pirates collections in stock right now!  These will not be formally released until some time in April.  So get them fast.  Quantities are limited and they'll go quickly!!!

Here's my little Tilda for the day......

Tilda with Hood

I selected this image of Tilda prior to selecting anything else.  I knew I wanted to do one final winter card and I really wanted to use Tilda with Hood.  She reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood.  Come to think of it, maybe I should have colored her coat red!  Anyway, the dp's are from the BG Blitzen collection.  The cs is SU.  The snowflakes are from Imaginisce and TPC Studio.  The sweet little sentiment is part of an Our Craft Lounge winter set that I no longer have the name of.  The ribbon is just by-the-yard from the craft store.  Tilda's backdrop and the sentiment were cut using Nestabilities.  I used Stickles all over this card - the fur on her hood, the accents on her coat, the flowers in her basket, and the large snowflakes.

Here I tried to capture some of the dimension of the card.  You can better see the layering and the distressing of the papers.

I painted this image using watercolor with Ranger Distress Inks.  Her skin was colored with Copic markers.

That's it for today.  I hope you enjoyed my card.  Thank you so much for joining me.  I hope you find some time to color.

Happy Weekend Everyone!!!  I sure hope you're having a great weekend so far!  This is my very first card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges and I'm soooooo excited!  Kellie Winnell asked me a little while back if I would be interested in joining the team as a Guest Designer.  I didn't even have to think about it.  Of course!!!  I'll be here for a couple of months and I'm ecstatic!

This week, the challenge is 3 papers, 3 flowers, 2 buttons and a bow.  The design team has come up with some amazing creations.  I hope you'll check them all out for yourself at Magnolia Down Under Challenges.  Let us know what you think!  And please, join in by making your own card.  It's a really fun challenge.  I'm sure you'll come up with something fantastic!

So, without further delay, here's my creation.  I hope you like it.

Noble Tilda

This time, my inspiration was Tilda herself.  I often times will select dp's first and go from there.  Not this time.  I couldn't wait to use this image of Tilda, all prim and proper and fancied up.  Next, I selected the dp's, which are from BG's June Bug collection.  I love the contrast of the rich, warm colors against the black.  The polka dots really stand out.  The cs is from DCWV.  I cut Tilda's backdrop with Nestabilities and outlined with a fine Copic multiliner while the paper was still in the die.  The flowers are handmade using my EK Success Retro Flower Punches and MS leaf punch.  I followed this flower TUTORIAL by PaperCraftsByRach and it was super easy.  And my goodness, what gorgeous flowers they make!  I put buttons in the middle of the two smaller flowers.  I didn't have the right color so I colored them with a Copic marker.  I applied Stickles to Tilda's hair accessories and Crystal Lacquer to the rose on her dress and her shoes.  It's difficult to see in the photo, but they actually look like black patent leather pumps.  So gorgeous!

I colored this beautiful lady with a combination of Copic markers and watercolor with Distress Inks.  I just love the cranberry red and olive green together.  It's so sophisticated.  Can you see the shine on her black patent leather pumps?

I sure hope you all find some time to color.  It's relaxing and good for the soul.

Ciao for now,

Easter's Coming!

Happy Hump Day Everyone!  This has been one crazy week.  My husband is in Dallas this week so I'm playing 'single mom'.  My son's school is 25 miles away and I'm doing both drop-off and pick-up this week.  But, you do what you have to and it's all worth it in the end.  Right?

I want to thank everyone for visiting me here and all of the wonderful things you had to say about my first Magnolia-licious GDT card.  It's one thing to like your own work, it's another to hear it from others.  I truly appreciate it.  And, if you haven't yet seen all of the works by the entire Magnolia-licious DT, hop on over to Magnolia-licious Highlites to check them out.  They're gorgeous!!!

So, I found some time for crafting yesterday and, I have to admit, it did not flow easily.  I really struggled with my painting for some reason.  Today, I felt much better, tossed out what I worked on yesterday and re-painted Tilda.  I'm sooooooo much happier with the results.  I hope you like her...

Tilda with Easter Egg

Well, Easter is nearly upon us so I thought I'd spread a little Easter cheer.  This Tilda with Easter Egg is just the sweetest!  She's available at Magnolia-licious.  I don't think she's in the store right now, but if you send Diana a message she can get an update for you.

The dp's by American Crafts were the color inspiration.  I just love these papers.  The gray is such a beautiful accent.  The cs is Bazzill Basics.  I cut the circle and scallop border with my Nestabilities.  Flowers are by both Prima and Petaloo.  The pearls are also Prima.  I found the pins in the wedding isle at the craft store.  The ribbon is just inexpensive by-the-yard from the craft store.  I added Stickles to Tilda's hair ribbons and jumper.  The egg and flowers also got a bit for a little extra something shiny.

I colored Tilda with a combination of Copic markers and Ranger Distress Inks.  That's turning out to be my favorite way of coloring images.  I really like the end result of using them together.

So, that's it for today.  I have to leave to pick up my son at school.  I hope you all find some time to color.
